Robert Adair Jewellers are delighted to unveil their new range from Bering watches. The beautiful range is called Max Rene after the Danish watch designer. These watches are modern and classic and come in a wide range of options.
The great feature of this range is how comfortable they are to wear. For a luxury watch they feel sleek and light rather than clunky and heavy.
They come with two sizes of bracelet or strap, so as to accommodate a large or small wrist. The straps and bracelets are easy to remove and you can easily change the complete look of your watch from a bracelet watch to a strap watch in a few seconds.
Max Rene Watches by Bering at Robert Adair Jewellers
Read the details from the Berling website below:
Sliding technology
A new sliding technology was developed for this collection, which makes it easy to change straps and mesh bracelets with a simple sliding mechanism. This function enables you to modify the look of the watch without a tool and within a few seconds. Max René is currently having the technology for the Max René mesh bracelets and leather straps on a patent pending.
Water resistance
The watch is water resistant up to 5 ATM, which is five times the ordinary atmospheric pressure, and translates into a depth of 50 meters (165 feet). That makes the watch suitable for daily activities such as showering or swimming in shallow water.
Max René elevations
The new Max René watches comes with a large dial opening of 36,2 mm in the large model. This large opening is only made possible by assembling the dial and hands from the front. The frontloading technique gives the watch a slim and elegant shape in combination with the thin Quartz-movement.
Crown
The 4 mm crown is carefully tailored to the rounded shape of the watch case, and engraved with a stylish M.R. logo. A double O-ring has been implemented between the crown and the Quartz-movement, to ensure the watch is water resistant up to 5ATM.
Sapphire crystal lens
Ultra-hard sapphire crystal lens is standard on all Max René watches.
The sapphire lens is scratch resistant and up to five times harder in material than normal lenses.
Watch case
Every Max René watch case has been crafted in the finest stainless steel quality 316L, and finished in various styles such as polished steel and rose gold. Furthermore from 2016 a new version in 14k gold will be made available.
At Robert Adair Jewellers you can call in with us and have a look at the Bering Max René range. This is a beautiful designer piece which will stand out amongst your jewellery collection. Call in now and take a look.

At Robert Adair Jewellers in Ballymena we know that there are few things more mesmerising than watching your diamond ring sparkle. A beautiful diamond should shine and dance in the light, so it’s only natural to want to maintain that bling by giving your ring regular cleanings.
Jewellery Cleaning advice from Robert Adair Jewellers Ballymena
First, determine what kind of dirt and grime has got onto your ring, says Stuart. “If you’re very active outdoors or in the kitchen and there’s a hard compacted layer of oil or dirt, it’s best to get it cleaned at a jewellers using professional products that will restore the brilliance of the stone and setting safely.”
However, if your ring has been dirtied by common cosmetics — for example, hairspray, lotion, makeup, or perfume — a simple at-home cleaning should be sufficient.
“The best way to clean your ring is to make a solution with warm water (almost hot) and dishwashing soap. Soak your ring for about 20 to 40 minutes, gently brush the stone with a very soft toothbrush, and then, after placing the plug in the sink (just in case), rinse under warm running water. If needed, repeat.”
What to avoid using:-
As for substances that you should never use to clean your ring, stay away from any household cleaners such as bleach, chlorine, and acetone, advises Stuart. “These harsh chemicals can break down some of the base metals in your ring. Also never use any kind of abrasive products such as toothpaste, baking soda, or any powdered cleaners, which can easily scratch the precious metal of the band and setting.”
Lastly, also avoid at-home ultrasonic jewellery cleaning machines, especially if your ring features pave set stones says Stuart. “If one of the claws is weakened or if there’s the slightest error in workmanship, the vibrations from an ultrasonic machine can dislodge a stone,” he warns. “Your safest bet for ultrasonic cleaning is to take it to a jeweller, where professionals can test the security of the settings first — or fix it should anything come loose.”
Robert Adair jewellers offer a free Jewellery cleaning service on all jewellery they sell, with very reasonable charges to clean and check any jewellery items. Please call in to our showroom on Mill Street in Ballymena to find out more.

Engraving can be carried out in any font and style and even on two or more lines. This is part of a free service and puts the finishing touches to the perfect wedding ring.
Give yourself plenty of time to choose your rings. While we can have rings ordered and in stock within two weeks it is obviously much better not to be rushed and to take the necessary time to pick a lovely ring that you are going to cherish and wear every day for many years to come. We find that about two to three months prior to the big day is about right for choosing the rings. Some couples are very efficient in their planning and are maybe hoping to have their bands sorted up to a year in advance. While this is fine with us we always prefer not to finalise the sizes until close the wedding date to allow for loosing,or dare I say putting on, a little weight! Whatever happens we at Robert Adair Jewellers are here to help you with your wedding rings. Our staff are professional and friendly and they can help you try on different styles and advice you of which size would be best for you. Choosing the perfect wedding ring. Here is some expert advice from Stuart Adair of Robert Adair Jewellers in Northern Ireland.
Choosing a wedding ring might seem a more straightforward task, but it still involves many exciting decisions and is an important investment. You will be wearing your wedding ring for the rest of your life so it’s important to choose a design you’ll be comfortable with. One of things which you will have to consider is which shape of wedding ring is best.
When it comes to the shape of the bride-to-be’s wedding band, the main consideration is how it sits with her engagement ring.
If the engagement ring is straight-edged, a classic, straight-edged wedding band will sit snugly next to it. However, the gemstone setting in some engagement rings will not accommodate a straight-edged wedding band. In this case I would advise a curved wedding ring, sometimes known as a fitted or shaped ring.
We have a wide selection of shaped wedding rings in stock but if nothing is found to be suitable we can have a ring specially designed to sit perfectly with the engagement ring. This option takes about three to four weeks to complete but we can normally have a CAD drawing completed of the design in about one week.
A great example is this stunning wedding ring. Robert Adair Jewellers helped the couple to design this ring so that the Bride to be’s engagement ring would fit snugly beside it. The beautiful design was manufactured and the couple were delighted with their perfect and unique wedding ring. It is one of a kind and a piece of jewellery which will be treasured forever.
As well as designing and creating a ring to match the engagement ring, we can also utilise an old family wedding ring which can be melted down and reformed as part of the new design either as a completely new ring or as an addition to the new ring. This is a beautiful sentiment which means that a family heirloom can be re-imaged and integrated into something new and special.
Choosing your Wedding ring with Robert Adair Jewellers means that you have a wide choice, expert advice and the opportunity to design a piece which will be unique and made to measure for your needs.
If you would like to talk to us about designing a bespoke ring or for advice about choosing your wedding ring then please don’t hesitate to call in with Robert Adair Jewellers in Ballymena, Northern Ireland.
